What is the best diet pill on the market? From what I understand thats what this thread is intended for is for consumers to share with others what diet pill really works for them.

First off we need to get off our FAT *SSES and lift weight weights, do cardio, and eat healthy fats, Healthy carbs, and healthy lean proteins with plenty of water. Don't even consider taking a prescription diet pill or non prescription diet pill until you commit to that.

I have followed the Body-For-Life diet religously for 6 months now. Total weight loss is 42 pounds. The first 3 months I lost 18 pounds WITHOUT supplements. These past 3 months I've lost 24 pounds with the help of diet pills. So their are definitely diet pills that work.

The best diet pill product I bought online at a huge discount is Lipovox. Its only $20-$30 on ebay and fitfuel.com and it ROCKS! Its one of only 3 non prescription diet pills I've tried that works. I haven't tried any of the pills on this list but just bought a bottle of Anoretix because it intrigued me the most.

Alli is a really great product. If you do not use it correctly you will have excess gas and or oily spottings. You must limit your fat intake at each meal. I have gone from 245 lbs. to 218 in only 3 month by taking alli and walking just a little each day. Once you get the hang of taking this pill it is a breeze. And well worth it. Just be careful of how and what you eat.

Here are my results:

Leptorexin- paid $55 w/ shipping on dietpill.net. I lost 7 pounds. 3 caps twice a day is a bit much. Plus the pills are huge. Overhealth benefits were very good. Alli and Be Hot

I have taken Alli and lost 5 lbs in about 3 weeks but it didnt matter how little fat I ate I still consantly felt like I was gonna crap myself 24/7. I have been taken a variety of pills in a little packet called Be Hot that I picked up at GNC and I have not lost a pound. I have been taking them for about a week but i havent done alot exercise wise so I am gonna try to step it up abit. I will say I have no side affects from the Be Hot. My best weight loss came with alot of cardio work outs. i lost 25lbs in one month walking 2 miles or more a day. I wasnt taking diet pills then either. I have 3 kids and gained 89lbs with my son and this is the hardest weight to lose. You can do it without pills just eat alot of vegi's and fruit cut the fat and some calories and try to raise your heart rate 3 times a day for 10 to 15 mins at a time. Do yoga, cardio, dance to some music.

guys & gals - the best over the counter diet pill I have ever tried is NUPHEDRA. But it was too good to be true and was taken off the market. The nuphedra.com website no longer sells it but you can still get your hands on bottles of nuphedra being sold on ebay. nuphedra.com says the will release diet pills that are legal soon but I guarantee you it won't be as good as the old nuphedra thats banned.

Hi I have taken Adipex P several times over the last few yrs and everytime have lost significant amts of wts over just a brief time but I moved and no longer am near the dr that use to prescibe it to me. what diet pills really do work? I get asked this question all the time. I work at a local health food & supplement store. There is 6 franchises and I am currently in charge of sale & advertising. My very first job after getting certified as a personal trainer when I couldn't find clients was helping in the weight loss section of the store.

I heard the question "do diet pills work"? all the time. The honest answer is YES & NO.

Phentramine (Adipex-P)

I would have to say these two prescription- only weight loss medications are excellent, especially if you feel one step closer to gastric bypass.

I was obese and still had a hard time getting a script, simply because I take an anti- depressant and other medications for anxiety. If you have high blood pressure or heart problems, your Dr. may be hesitant with it as well.
I was a bit scared when I finally did start, but it does come in 10-37.5mg strengths so it has room for adjusting. It is meant to only be taken for short periods of time, just due in part to it being named in the 'controlled substance' category. (it works on the same level as an amphetamine, and could be addictive).
I must say, it does help with cravings. (mine are normally increased by the anti-depressant). The side effects are just as said. Nervousness, restlessness/anxious, dry mouth. I sometimes felt hot all over, but that could be menopause. (wow I got a lot going on!)
What it did for me was kick start the stubborn, 'I can't do this' self-talk. I would recommend this for those 40 lbs. or more overweight.
The pill mentioned above, Phenpherdrine, as a good RX free alternative, also Fastin.

As for all the others, my picks, in order of effectiveness (coupled with the best components working in sync) I'm looking for in a supplement:

1. Apidexin
2. Adipril
3. Anoretix (not to be confused with the over- hyped $125 'Anorex' by Klein Becker. I've
been anorexic and these names are kinda
annoying).
4. Lipovox (like this pill, but is all that
really necessary?)

Diet pills help, but as soon as you stop you gain it back, unless you have made real eating habits change.
Weight loss is 70% eating 30 % excercise. So close your mouth, clean your fridge and toss all the fatty and sweet snacks. Also get off the couch and turn the tV off.. Go for a walk, cut the grass, do some gardening and walk to the store.

I was excited to finally try Alli because I wanted to lose some weight before my friends wedding.What a major let down! I do not eat a lot of fatty foods anyway so I assumed that I would not have any of the oily spotting or gas, but I did and not only did I have these side effects, I also experienced severe pain in my stomach with absolutely no weight loss. I have been taking Adipex P a little over a month and have dropped 20 pounds. I am going to call my doctor next week for a refill because I hope I can lose 20 more this month. I have Polycystic Ovarian Disease so its very difficult for me to lose weight and easy to gain. My OB/Gyn put me on Adipex because he wanted me to lose weight before I start fertility medicine in February. I eat like 1/2 sometimes 1/4 of what I ate before. I only eat when I am hungry. Plus I started cutting back carbs and now drink half and half tea instead of sweet. No soda except for sprite or sprite zero. Switched to whole wheat bread and cut down on all fried foods. The week of Christmas I lost almost 5 pounds. It really works, but u have to change how u eat and drink lots of water. I walk alot at work cause I am CNA. I have noticed more energy as well. I saw that several of you mentioned Adipex. There are good things and bad things about this pill. I have had two children and I've always had a "slow" metabolism. I was working out and eating 1200 calorie a day meals and literally could not lose a single pound before I went on Adipex. I lost 20 pounds my first month (this includes serious workouts and eating healthy) so it really helped jump start my metabolism.
Now on to the bad part. I want to warn those of you that might experience side effects with this pill. My doctor knew of my medical history so she monitored me very carefully while I was on it. I have a history of migraines, Adipex made this a lot WORSE. I started having migraines three times or more a month by my third month. I also have obsessive compulsive disorder and ADD (strange combo I know). I do not take medication for either of them, I am usually able to deal with the symptoms (sometimes just act a little weird :)) but by the third month of Adipex, I thought I was losing my mind. I started having severe anxiety attacks, wasn't sleeping more than 2 hours a night, depression set it, it wasn't pleasant to say the least. It just seemed as I started my third round, my body went totally nuts on it. I was stupid and didn't want to stop taking them (I had lost a total of 45 pounds by the end of my third month) but I fessed up to my doctor about what was going on and she immediately revoked my prescription.
The reason why I went into such detail is to warn those of you that go get Adipex. Yes it does work but please be honest with the doctor that prescribes it to you. If you have any health issues (physical or mental) then you MUST be honest. Not all doctors will still give you the script, the only reason mine did was because I was only 24 years old and looking at type 2 diabetes from being so overweight and she knew I was busting my tail trying to lose it but couldn't. There can be severe side effects and if your doctor doesn't keep a check on them, there is no telling what could happen to you.

What do you all recommend for quickness && effectiveness? I've been 115 pounds for years, had 2 kids & gotten right back to 115 pounds within 2 weeks after birth. I've never had to exercise much, if any, and have always eaten whatever I want. I turned 27 in November, and it seems like ever since I turned 27 a few months ago, my metabolism is non-existent. I gained 15 pounds literally within 2 weeks, and now I exercise all I can and eat 1/4 of whatI use to eat, and i'm not losing one little pound. It's crazy compared to my entire life up until just a few months ago, i've literally never even thought twice about what I ate or had an issue with weight at all. I'm not considered overweight, but i'm definitely not happy with myself. I need something to just jump start my metabolism, and help me get 10 pounds off. I'd be happy at 120 pounds... although if I could get back to 115, that would be perfect.
Anyway, please help me out w/ some advice based on personal experience.....
what diet pill works fast? works well? gets weight off quick? won't make me feel like my hearts beating 100 miles an hour or keep me awake all night? Caffeine has never made me jumpy or anything like that, so I don't think i'll be that sensitive to most things....

I am a young male and I used one bottle of Apidexin.
For part of the time I took 2 pills/day, and then for the second half I only took 1/day.

Coupled with a decent diet and good exercise a couple times a week, I lost between 25-30 pounds and gained some muscle.

The first few days are very important with it. If you do not drink enough water, your stomach will feel wierd.

I didn't spend a lot of time on the toilet or anything, but I made sure I was drinking enough water that my urine was clear. This is key.

Alli is the worst diet pill ever!! I stuck strickly to the diet and still had oily spootings and lots of excess gas, and when you try to relieve yourself of it a little, you end up shi**ing your pants. I tried it for a few weeks thinking that my body just had to get used to it and there was no end!! IT IS THE WORST DIET PILL EVER!! I'm taking slimquick now and i'm not too sure about this one either. I have awful headaches when the pills wear off and i decided not to take it one day and then scale said that i gained six pounds in one day of not taking the pill. Not sure how or why but i was horribly bloated and just can't understand where the six pounds in one day came from!
